In collaboration with the leading medical school in Thailand, Action4Diabetics supported a four-week training course for Doctors on the essential skills in diagnosis and management of Type 1 Diabetes.
The Five Doctors, from Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia, came together at Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok in April. The positive experience and education that these Doctors have had will diffuse into their local care systems, accelerating improvement of care and saving lives on our ‘A4D Clinic Support Program’.
By bringing healthcare professionals together from across the region, A4D helps to share knowledge in Type 1 care across South-East Asia. This is an important step for A4D in achieving its long-term goal of establishing sustainable, self-sufficient programs.
Action4Diabetics would like to extend thanks and appreciation to the Dean of Siriraj Hospital Professor Prasit Watanapa, and Professor Supawadee and their colleagues who provided such an excellent programme for the visiting doctors.
